#3702 JR. EXECUTIVE STUDENT DESK

BOOKBOX: All exposed edges are rolled for safety, and corners are hand brazed for structural rigidity. Components of the box are mig welded to form an integral unit, and the box attaches to top on both sides by means of book box brackets utilizing eight, No. 10 x ½" sheet metal screws. Unit is available with right or left hand book box. The upper leg is mig welded to a 14-gauge, die-formed leg bracket which is also spot welded to bottom edge of the book box for additional support. The upper leg is also spot welded to the book box bracket. Each upper leg accepts for 24" through 29" height adjustability. The leg inserts are 18-gauge, 1" diameter, carbon-steel tubing swaged to 5/8" diameter. The two, die-punched holes in the upper leg and 5(five) tapped holes in the insert receive 5/16" - 18-½" self-locking, machine screws. The 1-1/4" base diameter of the glides are of a special hardened steel, rubber mounted, and are fully nickel plated.

DURALINE 6100 ADJUSTABLE STUDY TOP DESK

FRAME: Top portion of adjustable legs will be 1-1/8", 18-gauge steel tubing welded to two die formed 13-gauge top supports joined by 3/4", 18-gauge tube. Adjustable leg inserts of chrome plated 18-gauge swaged tube, tapped 1" levels to receive plated Phillips locking adjustment bolts. Adjustable 22" to 29". Each leg to have additional 1/8" adjustment to compensate for uneven floors. 

TOP: Solid core of 9/16" fiber-resin board, size 18" x 24" with a high-pressure laminated plastic surface and backer sheet. Edges are painted with clear modified urethane plastic. Hardwood, plywood top optional. 

METAL FINISH: Powder Coat Epoxy over iron phosphate coating or nickel chrome plating. 

GLIDES: Are 1-1/4" diameter platform style, have a raised-radius inner-dome to ensure glide alignment. The use of a ferrule or collar on the glide is unacceptable. The glide will be rubber cushioned, 1-1/4" diameter, self-leveling and fully nickel plated. The attachment will incorporate an inside gripper ring, which will positively secure the glide to the inside of the leg. The glide base will be nylon, steel or non-skid composite material. 

DURALINE #7602 OPEN FRONT DESK

DESK TOP: High-pressure plastic laminate bonded to 9/16" resincore with paper backer sheet. Edges are shaped and clear coated to complement desktop. Desktops are available in Winchester Walnut, Light Indian Teak, and Golden Oak plastic laminate. The desktops provide an 17-5/8" x 23-5/8" writing surface and are mounted to the book box by 10, No. 10 x ½" sheet metal screws.

FRAME: The book box is constructed of one-piece 22-gauge die-formed steel. The book box has two, die-formed embossments for strength and a deep die-formed pencil tray in bottom of the box. Wide-flared, full-front opening has a smooth rolled edge for easy accessibility and safety. The two "U"-shaped continuous tube upper legs are 18-gauge, 1 1/8" diameter, carbon-steel tubes mig welded to two 16-gauge, cross braces to form an upper leg assembly which in turn is spot welded to underside of book box. Each upper leg accepts leg inserts for 24" through 29" height in adjustability. The leg inserts are 18-gauge, 1" diameter carbon-steel tubing swaged to 5/8" diameter. The die-punched holes in the upper leg and five-tapped holes in the insert receive 5/16" - 18-½" self-locking machine screws.

BOOK COMPARTMENT: Die formed from one-piece of 22-gauge steel with curled edges, embossed pencil tray, embossing strips along bottom and back for added strength. Size, 4" high x 22" wide x 14-3/4" deep with a slope from the front to a 5" depth to allow knee freedom. Attached to frame by MIG welding.

DURALINE #7502 LIFT-LID STUDENT DESK

FRAME : Two formed 1-1/8" diameter x 18 gauge tubular steel legs, continuous from side to side, welded to two 16 gauge brackets which are embossed for maximum strength, and welded to form an integral self standing frame.

ADJUSTABLE LEG INSERT: is 1" diameter x 18 gauge, hexavalent-chrome-plated tubular steel, swaged at the base, telescoping into the frame and locked in place at desired height by the use of a machine screw into a threaded hole. One inch incremental height adjustments from 24" to 29" with 1/4" leveling.

The glide will be rubber cushioned, 1-1/4" diameter, self-leveling and fully nickel plated. LIFT LID BOOK BOX: 22-1/2"W x 16-1/2"D x 4"H, deep-drawn, seamless, formed of 20 gauge steel, rolled top edge with double adjustable hinges and a piano hinge welded across the back. Formed metal pencil tray. 2 nylon spacers prevent pinching of fingers.

TOP: 18" x 24" X 5/8" high pressur laminatefiber-resin board fastened to book box with wood screws. Also available with Plywood or hard Plastic top.

5600 SERIES CANTILEVERED STUDENT DESK

TOP: Solid core of 1-1/8" particleboard, surfaced with a 3 core high-pressure laminate in texture finish, underside surfaced with backer sheet. "T" type over black vinyl edge band will be spot-nailed every 6 inches to prevent pullout.

CANTILEVERED PEDESTALS: 1-1/4" X 2-1/2" 14-gauge upper, rectangular tube, mig welded to a 1-1/4", square, 16-gauge top support tube. Inserts are 1" X 2-1/4" 16-gauge mig welded to a 1-1/4", square, 11-gauge base (foot) tube. Stretcher Assembly is a 1" X 2-1/4" 16-gauge stretcher bar sigma welded to two 14-gauge die formed gussets at both ends. The stretcher assembly using 5/16" bolts with a lock washer and nut joins both pedestals securely. Adjustable height is 22" through 29" in one-inch increments.

BOOK BOXES: Die formed of 20-gauge steel. Outside is smooth with curled edges. Total dimension of box, 14-1/2" wide x 12-3/4" deep x 4-1/2" high. Attachment is made with plated screws through 1/2" mounting flanges.

GLIDES: Will be 1-1/8" diameter, nickel plated steel with adjustable height feature and nylon base.
