TOP: The top will be a solid core of 1-1/8" 45 lb. per cubic foot particle board surfaced with a full 3 core high-pressure laminated plastic, using a backer sheet for balanced construction. The edge banding will be of knife-edge black vinyl plastic of not less than 5/16" thickness oval design with a smooth surface. The tongue of the banding will be spot-nailed from the bottom to prevent band from pulling away from the edges. 

FRAME: Frame is constructed of two 1-1/4" 19-gauge square carbon steel tubs forming a "box" shape on either end and joined by a 1-1/4" 11-gauge stretcher across at the bottom center of the "box". A 22-gauge modesty panel and a 22-gauge end panel are attached to the frame and top by means of sheet metal screws through die-punched holes. 

PEDESTAL CONSTRUCTION: Interior construction consists of 22-gauge steel side frames securely welded together using 4, 22-gauge cross-ties per pedestal. Exterior construction is one-piece 22-gauge wrapper hull forming two sides and bottom in which interior frame is placed. File and Letter drawer lock together with single locking mechanism located on the pedestal frame between the drawers. Pedestal is secured to the 1-1/8" particleboard top with wood screws through 16 die-punched holes in the top of the pedestal. 

FINISH: All metal parts are thoroughly cleaned and treated with an iron phosphate, rust inhibitor prior to painting. Powder finish is applied and baked to manufacturer's specifications to ensure a long lasting and durable finish. 

DRAWER CONSTRUCTION: File and Letter drawers are formed 22-gauge steel(drawer bottom, body, slides, cross-supports and stops).

GLIDES: Will be 1-1/8" diameter nylon base, nickel plated steel with adjustable height feature.

CASTERS: (Optional) with two locking and two non-locking 3" rubber wheels.
