HALLMARK HARD PLASTIC SEATS AND BACKS: Seat and backs are produced from blending melamine resin with finely ground hardwood floor and color pigments. This molding compound is then weighed and loaded into chrome plated seat molds which are mounted on high tonnage hydraulic presses. The presses are then closed under high heat (300 degrees F) and high pressure (1500 psi) to form solid thermoset seats and backs with outstanding properties for classroom environments. Seat and Back colors come in Indigo Blue, Hunter Green, Dove Gray, Burgundy, and Sand.
All thermoset material are produced to a smooth, dense, wrap free surface with edges and corners completely encased in melamine. The result is a product of extraordinary durability which is extremely resistant to scratching and marking. Surfaces are impervious to the stains of ball point pens, crayons and fingernail polish and will withstand harsh cleaning agents. Since static-attracted dirt will not cling to or penetrate the melamine surface of our products, they are incredibly easy and inexpensive to maintain. In addition, the solid thermoset plastic seats, backs and tops will not produce toxic fumes in the event of a fire.
HALLMARK GLIDES: Are 1-1/4" diameter platform style, have a raised-radius inner-dome to ensure glide alignment. The use of a ferrule or collar on the glide is unacceptable. The glide will be rubber cushioned, 1-1/4" diameter, self-leveling and fully nickel plated. The attachment will incorporate an inside gripper ring, which will positively secure the glide to the inside of the leg. The glide base will be nylon, steel or non-skid composite material.
HALLMARK #3017 SLED BASE CHAIR
FRAME:
A one-piece 16-gauge, cold-rolled steel tubes are bent to form a triangular sled frame. Tubing diameters is 3/4".Stacking of chairs is possible within like sizes. Tubes are mig welded to form a solid steel frame which in turn is mig welded to two side brackets made of 14-gauge, die-formed steel. These brackets are used to support the seat.
HALLMARK #3047 SLED BASE CHAIR DESK
DESK TOP:
The desktop provides a significant working area and is mounted at a 0-degree angle for reading and writing comfort and is available only in a right handed unit.Thermoset Solid Plastic:
19" x 26" solid thermoset plastic desktops are produced from similar formulations as the seats and backs with a melamine impregnated paper overlay added to the top and bottom of the mold before the press is closed. Pressed under the same high heat and high pressure molding process, solid thermoset tops are fabricated one at a time. The overlay sheets can be printed which enables us to offer wood grain designs as well as colors.High Pressure Laminate: 20-1/2" x 26-1/2" high pressure laminate tops are bonded to 9/16" resincore with plastic backer sheet. All exposed wood surfaces and edges are finished with one coat of sealer and two coats of lacquer to resist moisture. The lacquer resists water, acids and alkalis.
Desk Top Colors
(thermoset): Sand, Dove Gray, and Golden Oak Wood Grain. Standard HPL top colors are: Golden Oak. Light Indian Teak and Winchester Walnut.FRAME: A one peice 16-gauge, ¾" cold-rolled steel tube is shaped to form the triangular sled frame. Back post shall be 3/4" 14-gauge carbon steel tubing. Top mount tube shall be 1-1/8" 12-gauge carbon steel tubing. Top mount tube brace is 1" 18-gauge carbon steel tubing. Top mount brackets are die-formed 16-gauge steel. Tubes are mig welded to a form a solid steel frame which in turn is mig welded to two side brackets made of 14-gauge die-formed steel. These brackets are used to support the seat. Bookrack is 12" wide x 13-1/2" high x 6-5/8" deep and is made of #4 steel cross rods resistance welded to form an integral unit. The bookrack is mig welded to the steel framing and has a 11-1/2" clearance from the underside of the seat. The bookrack is open to either side of the unit.
