DURALINE #1611, 1613, 1615, 1617 STRAIGHT CHAIRS

FRAME: Two 18-gauge, cold-rolled-steel tubes are shaped to form the "U" shape of legs. Diameters of the legs vary according to the seat heights: 7/8" diameter used on 11-½", and 13-½"; 1" diameter used on 15-½"; and 1-1/8" diameter used on 17-½". Stacking of chairs is possible within like sizes. The legs are then sigma welded to two side brackets of 14-gauge, die-formed steel supporting the two, raised ribbed surfaces of the shell. All legs are swaged to 5/8" diameter. The 1-1/4" base diameter of the glides are of a special hardened steel, rubber-mounted, and are fully nickel plated with a nylon bottom surface.

DURALINE SHELLS: One-piece, contoured, flexible, injection-molded shell from special, high-density, high-impact-polypropylene plastic with anti-stat additive and textured face surface for proper body support. The underside of shell is molded to have a ribbed pattern to increase strength where the greatest weight and pressure are applied, and the turned flanges add additional durability. The shell attaches to the seat attachment bracket by the two, raised ribbed surfaces on the underside utilizing four, 3/16" diameter, high-tensile-steel, pop rivets (chairs) or semi-tubular rivets on combos and chair-desks.

DURALINE GLIDES: Are 1-1/4" diameter platform style, have a raised-radius inner-dome to ensure glide alignment. The use of a ferrule or collar on the glide is unacceptable. The glide will be rubber cushioned, 1-1/4" diameter, self-leveling and fully nickel plated. The attachment will incorporate an inside gripper ring, which will positively secure the glide to the inside of the leg. The glide base will be nylon, steel or non-skid composite material.

METAL FINISHING
POWDER COAT
Chardark colored metal components are thoroughly cleaned by electronically-controlled, continuous-spray-wash systems then precision coated with an optimum-milligram, paint-bond coating of iron phosphate followed by a rust-inhibiting, chromate coating and a final coat of a special, high-temperature-baking epoxy powder paint.

CHROME
Chrome metal components are first cleaned with an alkaline solution then electroplated with bright nickel followed by an electroplated layer of hexavalent chrome. Hexavalent chrome is hard and resists scratching and corrosion and will last longer than Trivalent chrome.

Optional Seat and BackPad:  Shell is also available with an upholstered, two-piece pad consisting of ¾" foam over a molded hardboard liner with six "T" nuts inserted in the pad liner to facilitate easy application and removal. The seat pad measures 13" x 14-3/8", and back pad measures 6-½" x 12-13/32". Both pads conform exactly to the shape of the shell. Machine screws are used for attaching the pads through the shell into the "T" nuts. Upholstery is available in coordinating, marquesa lana polyolefin sherpas and shires only in the 17-1/2" seat height.
