5000 SERIES FOUR-LEG TABLES
TOP:
The top will be a solid core of 1 1/8" 45 lb. per cubic foot particle board surfaced with a full 3 core high-pressure laminated plastic, using a backer sheet for balanced construction. The edge banding will be of knife-edge black vinyl plastic of not less than 5/16" thickness oval design with a smooth surface. The tongue of the banding will be spot-nailed from the bottom to prevent band from pulling away from the edges.QUICK SET LEG ATTACHMENTS: Factory installed--Formed of 16-gauge galvanized steel in a triangle with 5/8" cover flange with clearance for leg plate to be driven under flange. Held to underside of table top with 3/4" sheet metal screws.
STRETCHER: The stretcher will be 16-gauge, 1" x 1" tube. Stretcher will be permanently attached to the underside of the top equidistant from the sides and running lengthwise of the tabletop. Stretcher will be provided on all tables of 60" length or longer.
ADJUSTABLE LEGS: Legs will be of 1-1/8", 18-gauge continuous seam welded tubing with a 1" chrome plated adjustable insert of 18-gauge tubing. The bottom portion of the legs will be swaged to a 5/8" diameter. The upper portion of the legs will be permanently welded to a 13-gauge triangular plate 9-1/4" x 7" and further reinforced with a solid #4 wire "V" shaped brace permanently attached to the leg and receiving plate by welding. One size of legs provides adjustments of 22" through 29" in increments of one inch. This is accomplished by means of a locking adjustment bolt on each leg. Die formed steel quickset receiver plate, factory installed, permits the attachment of leg with one screw. Juvenile leg sets adjustable 18"-27" avialable upon request.
METAL FINISH: All metals will be thoroughly cleaned, phosphate coated, then electrostatically sprayed with Powder Coat Epoxy finish. Nickel chrome plating also available if specified.
GLIDES: Will be 1-1/4" diameter, rubber cushioned and fully nickel-plated with an outside gripper ring which will positively secure the glide to the outside of the leg. Glide will automatically adjust 1/8" for uneven floors. Nylon base. (Steel optional).
